City of Woodinville,
Washington
"Country Living, City Style." For many
home buyers wanting a community with a country feel close to the City of
Seattle, Woodinville is their destination! There is hot air ballooning,
spas, trails, equestrian recreation, premier parks, world-class wineries,
seasonal Farmers Market, community events, a world famous nursery and greenhouse
facilities . It's no wonder that home
values increased a healthy 8.5% over the last year. Our top
salesperson, Blaise Devera, chose Woodinville to
purchase his home. Call him if you'd like to learn more about the
tremendous investment potential this growing city still offers.
At one time, Woodinville was heavily forested;
with trees so big their stumps could be used as shelters or as temporary houses.
So, it was no wonder that loggers and their families built their homes in this
pristine area.
Although the saw and shingle mills have been
replaced by boutique wineries and a vibrant retail core, Woodinville is a
distinguished Tree City USA (1996 to present) and has incorporated the
preservation of its "northwest woodland character" into home design
and development guidelines.
Today, Woodinville flourishes with retail
centers, restaurants and business services. Industrial and manufacturing
companies flank Woodinville's north and south corridors. Future design for the
downtown areas include encouraging office/retail development north of the
downtown core, transit-oriented development and a Master Plan for mixed-used
development in the heart of our City.
Woodinville is primarily a community of
single-family dwellings, with about 37% multi-family development. Families
are served by the highly rated Northshore
School District. The Woodinville community encompasses residents and
businesses within the 98072 postal zip code and who reside in King
and Snohomish
counties. The population is estimated to be 9900.
Woodinville is located in the north central
section of King County,
immediately east of the intersection of State Route (SR) 522 and Interstate 405.
They are located at the north end of the Sammamish Valley River Valley where
Little Bear Creek meets Sammamish River. The valley is shaped by steep,
thickly-wooded slopes where most of Woodinville's residential development is
located. Commercial, industrial and agricultural activities mostly cluster on
the valley floor, although there is some light industry located on slopes and
plateaus.
